Before you book a holiday: We recommended that you read carefully the brochure description , the general details and the booking conditions for your trip.

Normal Booking: Please include everything that you require with your original booking : this includes items such as travel insurance, extensions, flight amendments ,etc. Any changes that you subsequently make will be subject to an amendment fee of $100.

Late Booking: If your trip is less than eight weeks away, please phone first to check availability. Full payment is due on booking .

Confirmation: Your booking will normally be confirmed within a week , with it will come all the relevant pre-departure information , including advice on vaccinations , what to take , etc.

Final Payment: The balance of your payment is due 8 weeks before your departure ; the date due is shown on your invoice , we do not send reminders. Although we may not need to contact you again until after your balance has been paid, if you have any queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

Travel insurance: It is highly recommended that you be insured against medical and personal accidents risks (to include repatriation costs, air ambulance and helicopter rescue service) . We also strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance . You must ensure that the policy you do take.

Travel warning: Some of our tours are adventurous, (biking in particular is a potentially hazardous activity in which accidents can accrue), and many of the areas in which we operate are remote, the lifestyle is very different and events much less predictable than at home. However good our organization is, we are at the mercy of the unexpected , and an adventure holiday can never be as cut -and-dried as a conventional one. In many countries and regions in which we operate , local health, safety and operational standards may not be up to western levels , including hotels, transport and airlines. The outline itineraries given in this brochure are statements of intent rather than promises. Local weather , politics , transport or a host of other uncontrollable altered, but if changes are necessary, the leader will decide the best alternative after consultation with the group. Where a delay or changes are occur, we do everything we can minimize its affect, but can not be held responsible for the result of delays or charges, financial or otherwise , however caused, if they are outside our control . You should also note that crime and other security risks exist in all countries. Travelers must ensure that they take precautions to safeguard themselves and their belongings. We can not guarantee you against criminal or other risks, any more than you van guarantee yourself when travelling independently.

Cancellations and Refunds: All cancellation, changes or refund request must be received in writing and shall be considered in effect as of the date received . Silk Road Tours Ltd. reserves the rights to deny participation to anyone who does not comply with the visa’s instructions in the time specified . Cancellation or changes made up to 90 days prior to departure will incur a penalty of $200 per person; between 89 and 61 days , $495 per person; between 60 and 35 days, the penalty will be 50% per person. No refunds for cancellations received less than 35 days prior to departure.
